Enhanced the Control Panel GUI by creating logical locations of features:

*  WebMail is no longer embedded within the Control Panel. The link will currently open a new browser window. The styling of the WebMail interface has not changed since Signature 3.X, this has been left "as is" in anticipation of a new WebMail client coming soon.

*  My Files has been integrated as File Manager with Utilities. It can now be found in the 'Utilities and Files' section as 'All Files'. All file management related tasks can be found in this section as well.

*  There is no longer a "Quick Start" page. In place of this is a “Home Page” for the control panel as a whole.

*  Site Summary information has been relocated to Statistics >> Bandwidth Usage, and Preferences and Settings >> Profile & Usage Summary. This information has been targeted to be surfaced on the home page in an upcoming release. UserID is available on each page in the header.

*  There is no longer a My Website section. Most of what could be found under that section in 3.X was either a Utility or an Add-On. Bandwidth history and Manage Urchin statistics can now be found in 'Statistics'. Databases have their own section named 'Databases', where all associated tasks are now located.  Nearly all applications formerly located under My Website can now be located under one of the following headers:

          Utilities:
          All Files
          Shared Files
          File Restore
          Backups
          Schedule Tasks
          Digital Certificate
          Web Access
          Podcast
          FrontPage Extensions

          Add-Ons:
          Calendar
          FormMail
          Hit Counters
          Message Board
          Photo Gallery
          PukiWiki
          phpMyFAQ
          Site Search
          WordPress

*  My Account is now 'Preferences and Settings', and nearly all of those associated applications can be found within the new section. The two exceptions are Domain Blocking which has been renamed Email Blocking and moved under the 'Mail' section, and Schedule Tasks which can now be located under 'Utilities and Files'.

*  My Mail has been renamed 'Mail'. Management of White and Black Lists has been broken out (surfaced) to their own separate applications. Since WebMail has been separated to its own application the Compose link has been submerged. The Folders functionality will be taken care of by the new WebMail interface and the All Files application under 'Utilities and Files'. The Options tab will also be taken care of in the new WebMail interface.

*  The My Users functionality can now be found under 'Users'. The exception is the email aliases functionality which is now located under the 'Mail' section.

Enhanced the speed of the control panel, using:

*  HTML Markup used for the Control Panel has all been rewritten in order to more fully utilize CSS style sheets

*  Existing XSLT templates have been redone in a more “Rules based” template approach rather than the procedural model that was in place prior

*  Icon-based tasks have replaced drop-down menus and "Home" pages of the previous control panel

*  Tables Searching, Sorting, Paging  and Page Size features are now handled Client side, rather than requiring a Server Form post and Screen Redraw for each request

*  Error checking has been added to most form elements. Javascript validation routines handle error checking, and fields with incorrect data are highlighted by the system.

*  Email filter updated, customers can set filters to allow or deny specific text in the subject line.

AJAX enabled functionality

*  Enhanced the configurability of the Signature Control panel using AJAX. The end goal is to allow our users to configure their Control Panel interface to match their work styles and goals. (The majority of the user-based changes enacted utilizing AJAX are cached and stored using cookies.)

The AJAX functionality within the new Signature 4.0 Control Panel is as follows:

*  Drag and Drop navigation containers in the content pane of the main page.

*  Expanding and Collapsing navigation containers in the content pane of the main page.

*  In-Line editing of certain table components.

*  Dynamic highlighting of all Web Form errors, including password strength indicators.

*  Loading of complete data sets on first trip to an application. (This will drastically speed up the response time with larger record sets and multiple pages.)

*  Client side Sorting, Searching and Paging of table data. No more server calls and waiting for the redrawing of tables.
